Getting to Rab by Car
For those who prefer to travel by car, there are two ferry lines that operate throughout the year. Offering a quick and easy connection between the mainland and Rab.
Stinica to Misnjak Ferry
The first ferry link is between Stinica (mainland) and Misnjak (Rab), maintained by Rapska plovidba dd. The trip takes just 18 minutes and ferries run frequently, especially during peak season. You can view a detailed timetable on the company’s website.
Valbiska to Lopar Ferry
The second ferry link is between Valbiska (Krk Island) and Lopar (Rab), maintained by LPN dd. This ferry operates all year round, offering a convenient option for those traveling from Rijeka to Rab. To reach Rab from Rijeka, it’s recommended to use the Valbiska-Lopar ferry.
If you’re traveling by highway from Zagreb, simply exit at Zuta Lokva and continue on the local road towards Senj-Jablanac, and the Stinica ferry dock. If you’re coming from the south, exit the highway at Maslenica and follow the coastal road to Jablanca, where you’ll find the ferry dock to Rab.
Getting to Rab by Boat/Ferry
In addition to the two ferry lines mentioned above, there is also a passenger-only boat line between Lun (Pag) and the port of Rab. This boat operates all year round, with daily sailings in high season (from June 3 to September 16) and three sailings per week the rest of the year. Getting to Rab by Plane
For those traveling by plane, there are two airports to choose from: Zadar and Rijeka. Rijeka airport is located on Krk Island and is just 26 kilometers from the Valbiska ferry port. While Zadar airport is 132 kilometers from the Jablanac ferry port.
If you arrive at Rijeka airport, the best solution is to take a taxi to the Valbiska ferry port and then take the ferry to Rab.
Getting to Rab by Bus
Krk Island has excellent bus connections to Rijeka and Zagreb, with daily departures to Rab. If you’re traveling from Zagreb, you’ll need to transfer in Senj.
